SIMPLE TAX (Online Personal Tax)
Completely free – allows anyone to prepare a Canadian personal tax return, fee of charge. The application was recently acquired by WealthSimple – so you’ll have to decide whether you’re OK with sharing financial data with an investment management service.

Wealthsimple Inc. is a Canadian online investment management service focused on millennials. The firm was founded in September 2014 by Michael Katchen and is based in Toronto. As of August 2019, the firm holds over C$5 billion in assets under management.

The LAW of CANADA has its foundation in the English common law system, inherited when the period when it was a colony of the United Kingdom. The legal system is bi-jurisdictional, as the responsibilities of public (includes criminal) and private law are separated and exercised exclusively by Parliament and the provinces respectively. Quebec, however, still retains a civil system for issues of private law (as this domain falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the provinces).
